Karen and Amy – intimate Columbus backyard wedding

Karen and Amy were at Kathy and Andrea’s wedding back in June; that’s where I met them. Their whole circle of friends is amazing, and I was so honored to be photographing a second wedding in their group.

Karen and Amy’s wedding was held in the backyard of their home, a lovely place in Clintonville, and was attended by family and friends and their dogs. I arrived a little early to shoot some of their getting ready together, made some portraits around the yard and in the house, and then the beautiful, touching ceremony. The weather was iffy, with the forecast calling for rain and storms to begin at ceremony start time, but we were spared. Briefly. After a short shower (which included dancing in the rain), we had about 15 minutes before the heavens opened with a relentless downpour. Everything and everyone moved inside, with the fabulous Cameron Mitchell caterers running back and forth and back and forth in the pouring rain to bring all the food inside. What troopers!

Have a look at Karen and Amy’s wonderful day.

Steph and Jenn – Columbus Ohio engagement session

Steph and Jenn and I met at the soccer game and wedding inundated Park of Roses this past weekend for their mini engagement session. Luckily, we were able to dodge all the people and tuck into some nice scenic spots to make some photographs. To say these two are fun is a real understatement. We shot for just a little bit but crammed in about a million laughs. Can’t wait for the wedding next month! Have a look.

Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Party – Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

This year makes the sixth in a row that I’ve photographed the Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Party hosted by the Vorys law firm to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. It’s a magnificent event, complete with a leprechaun, a bagpiper and, this year, a drummer. There’s a fabulous silent auction with great items up for bid, including OSU football tickets (always a hot commodity), wine baskets, spa packages, etc., and food catered by the culinary school at Columbus State Community College. And everything goes to such a worthy cause. I’m happy to be involved with this event every year. Take a look at this year’s festivities.
