Betsy and Craig – Columbus Ohio wedding photographer

When I originally spoke with Betsy, a friend of a very good client, about her backyard wedding, I was already booked for Kasey and Amy’s wedding in Zanesville, both starting at about the same time of day. On my way to Kasey and Amy’s house, I received a call from Betsy that the photographer they’d hired instead had bagged on them at the last minute. Who does that?? So, I photographed Kasey and Amy’s wedding and then hightailed it back to Columbus to shoot Betsy and Craig’s reception. I was so thrilled to be able to run over and do this for them! All’s well that ends well. Have a look.

Kasey and Amy – Central Ohio wedding photographer

I met Kasey and Amy through Kathy and Andrea, at their wedding a couple years ago. Since meeting Kathy and Andrea, I’ve photographed the weddings of four of their other friends, Karen and Amy and Courtney and Ellen. I love this group of friends and am so honored to be passed around among them! Going to each of their weddings is like a family reunion!

Kasey and Amy were married on the gorgeous deck of their amazing home in Zanesville, in between rain drops. The weather had been beautiful until I got about five minutes from their house, and then the skies opened up. We waited inside for a bit but then decided to just go for it during a tiny break in the clouds. The sun came out and, even though it was a steam bath and the trees were dripping, it was simply lovely. Have a look.

Ryan Family Reunion

Sarah contacted me a few months back about photographing their family’s reunion in Irwin, Ohio – about a half hour’s drive from my house. Family would be in from all over and they would be having a giant ice cream cone. Turns out the matriarch of the family is in the concessions business, using a gigantic ice cream cone with an inflatable soft serve ice cream top to delight and refresh county fair goers for years. This day, it would be used to entertain family, along with carnival games and prizes. Seeing as how it was about 1000 degrees outside, the ice cream was a welcomed treat.

Despite the heat, everyone sat outside under the huge maple tree or on the covered porch and had a lovely visit. Have a look.
